Hello ! This is shoeW, my first post on this super blog. It is my aim to distract you (but not too much) !
Anyway winter hols was super fun, and I could go on and on about the Klingons and a variety of other things but let's not get into story mode too soon.
It is funny how trends and "in things" catch on. And it's even funnier on the net sometimes. Things catch on real fast and for some reason people seem more gullible online. Remember those freken stupid arse chain letters, or forward to everyone to give dying child 5 cents per email. (Don't feel insulted if you've forwarded it before, lol)
And then you even have Youtube chain comments now. Post stupid things so you don't die. Etc etc, the stupid of the stupid.
Back to net trends... (yes i'm aware blogging is a trend) net speak, emo MSN personal messages, displaying song lyrics, friendster (and friendstalk for those of us who are more privy.... oops did i say "us"?)etc. Not all of them being bad, obviously. One funny trend of note was during the time of Steve Irwin's death.... You might not see teh absurdity in this but I definitely do:
LOL... look at the freaking turtles lah. You'd think you were in Terengganu or something! Cheers to anyone who turtled out, but I just don't see the point. Not like his grieving family was consoled any further by MSN turtles!
